The Christadelphians

Who We Are

We are individuals. We are friends and family. We are grandfathers and grandmothers, aunts

and uncles. We are young families with small children. Together we make up the body of Christ.

From all different walks of life, we are bound by a common belief that Jesus is coming back to

set up God’s Kingdom on this earth, bringing peace to a world full of trouble.

How We Live

We believe that the Bible gives us effective direction in our lives and with God’s help, we seek

to please and obey Him every day, striving to imitate Jesus Christ who faithfully obeyed his

Father perfectly. Therefore, we endeavor to be enthusiastic in work, loyal in marriage, generous

in giving, compassionate to others, dedicated in sharing our hope and happy in our God.

Our Name

The name ‘Christadelphian’ simply means ‘brethren in Christ’ and was taken from Colossians

chapter 1 verse 2 which reads, “To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at

Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” As the

New Testament was originally written in the Greek language, the word for Christ is ‘Christos’

and the word for brethren is ‘adelphos’, so when you put the two together it forms

Christadelphian.

Our Congregations

We commonly refer to our congregation as an ‘ecclesia’. This is the New Testament Greek word

usually translated as ‘church’ in our English Bibles. Over the years, a church has come to refer

more to a building rather than the people. Since the building in which we meet has no

relevance to our salvation (Acts 7:48-50), we call ourselves an ‘ecclesia’, that is, a people called

out to serve God. As the Bible states in Ephesians 2:18-22, God’s building is His people.

Why visit us?

WE LOVE TO LEARN

About God’s Word. About His plan for us on this earth and the life and teaching of His Son Jesus

Christ. How to develop His characteristics and follow the example of our Lord Jesus.

WE LOVE TO SHARE

Coming out to a new place can be intimidating. We make it a priority to make you feel welcome

and comfortable. It’s like visiting family!

OPPORTUNITIES FOR INVOLVEMENT

Since we have no ordained ministry, all Bible classes, services, functions and activities are

organized and led by ecclesial members. The result is a more spiritually active and
