Tuesdays at 7:30 pm (presented virtually via Zoom and YouTube Livestream)

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every goodwork. (2 Timothy 3:14-17)

In his letter to Timothy, Paul instructs him to continue in what he has learned and believed in from a child. The sacred writings or holy scriptures give us the only way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. He goes on to explain that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, citing several benefits which can be gained through its reading and understanding. God’s Word teaches us of His plan and purpose for this world, convincing us of its message, providing a standard by which we should conduct ourselves and instructs us in the ways of righteousness. Following this advice, we believe that reading the Bible on a daily basis is extremely important to our lives as disciples of Jesus. In the spirit of this passage, we get together once a week to share in reading and discussing what God has written to us in His Word. We enjoy looking at the details God left us in His book and gain insights from varying perspectives and viewpoints. We strive to incorporate the attitude of the Psalmist in the 119 th chapter (verses 9 and 105): ‘Oh,how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day’ and ‘Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path’.
